VIDEO: PROFILE OF NATIONAL PORTRAIT GALLERY EDUCATION PROGRAMME, MAKING A MARK

This film profiles the National Portrait Gallery educational partnership programme, Making A Mark.  The programme focuses on how the Tees Valley made its mark on Britain, and how the lives and influences of local people can still be seen today.  The programme, and the film, draw out connection between local people, history and museum collection objects.   The film is featured on the National Portrait Gallery's website and YouTube channel.

VIDEO: Trailer for 'National Memory - Local Stories' Digital Participation Workshop

Introduction to this First World War centenary creative participation project, funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation.  The project engaged students with the collections of five national and local area museums across the UK: National Museums Northern Ireland, National Museums Scotland, Amgueddfa Cymru - National Museum Wales, The Rifles Berkshire and Wiltshire Museum and Redbridge Museum, London.

VIDEO: 'Picture the Poet'

This 4-minute video profiles Picture the Poet, a three-year partnership project between the National Portrait Gallery, the National Literacy Trust and Apples and Snakes.  As part of this project, second year students studying photography were paired with ten locally-based poets to create new photographic portraits inspired by the Picture the Poet exhibition.
