VIDEO: Profile of Elephant Dung Papermaking Community Programme, Botswana

This  short film profiles the elephant dung papermaking project, which is one of the community programmes of the Elephant Havens Wildlife Foundation in Botswana.   Elephant Havens has partnered with a group of local woman artisans who produce art paper from the elephant dung available at the elephant orphanage. The women then use the paper to create crafts objects. Some of the paper is also donated to local schools, where it is used in art programmes. The film is presented on  the Elephant Havens' YouTube Channel.

This  short film profiles the Ellie Hair project, which is one of the community programmes of the Elephant Havens, an elephant orphanage and wildlife conservation foundation in Botswana. Ellie Hair is a monthly community initiative that provides free professional haircuts and braiding services to local primary school children.  The project demonstrates how Elephant Havens extends its mission beyond African elephant conservation, to empower local communities - particularly young people - who represent the future of wildlife conservation. The film is presented on  the Elephant Havens' YouTube Channel.
